Yaadein (Memories) Community Café for Asian Elders

Do you want to be a part of a social group that meets in a safe space locally?

Meet other like-minded people and enjoy their company?

Have fun and create new memories?

The Yaadein community café has been is running successfully since March 2024.  The café is a popular and much-loved safe space for Asian elders. Regular sessions include games, activities, debates, discussion, quizzes, talks, exercise, movement, workshops and health and well-being.  The atmosphere is great with a lot of sharing of dukh Sukh (sorrow and joy) and support for each other.

The cafe continues to grow with a focus on creating an engaging and supportive space where elders can actively exercise their memory, practise recall, and strengthen cognitive skills while fostering meaningful social connections with each other. Activities encourage reminiscence, allowing elders to reconnect with personal and cultural memories as well as learn new skills to enhance their heath and well-being. Most importantly, the café provides members with opportunities to learn something new, share skills, and connect with others.
